Summer Conversations That Spark Successful Sales

When people hear “attending a conference,” the first thing that comes to mind is usually lead generation. And yes, that’s part of it, but the heart of why we show up year after year goes much deeper than just collecting business cards.

After a decade in business and countless conferences, PSA has built something we’re incredibly proud of; real relationships and a reputation rooted in trust. This isn’t just about visibility at events: it’s about being present, reliable, genuinely invested in the people and practices we serve, and supporting the industry.

Conferences give us the chance to reconnect with veterinary professionals, banks, buyers, and corporate partners. These face-to-face conversations help us understand the big picture like who’s growing, who’s shifting strategy, and how those changes might impact the sale or purchase of a practice. Are they expanding? Pressing pause? Sitting on capital? These insights shape how we guide our clients and how we negotiate deals that truly serve their goals.

We also make time to meet with lenders, both SBA and conventional, because financing is a major piece of the acquisition puzzle. By staying close with our trusted lenders, we’re not just providing advice; we’re giving our clients real options, real introductions, and real breakthroughs in moving their dream deal forward.

Our favorite part of conferences? Bumping into familiar faces. There’s something special about catching up with colleagues we have known for 5,10, 15, even 20 years and hearing life updates from past clients that have turned into friends. Those moments of connection remind us that our work isn’t just about the practices, it’s about the people, and that’s what keeps us inspired.

As we gear up to celebrate PSA’s 10th anniversary this September, we’re reflecting on what truly matters in this business: relationships, trust, and being there for the next step, whatever that may look like.

We’re so excited to attend the upcoming AVMA Convention in Washington, D.C., July 18th through 22nd! If you’re there too, let’s grab a coffee or catch up—we’ll be at booth #2363 and would love to see some familiar faces and make new connections along the way. Hope to see you there!
